Well, if you’re a true Winx Club fan, you’ve probably already heard this, but here it is again: there will be a fourth season and a second movie (around Christmas this year).
The fourth season has the Winx (from what I can tell) living together in Gardenia. The info I’ve found about the plot said something about evil wizards and the last fairies on Earth. There’s also a new girl named Roxy, who looks a bit like a cross between Chimera and Tecna. She has a dog named Artù. You can see them in this magazine scan. A lot of people have been calling Roxy “the seventh Winx,” but that hasn’t been confirmed yet. (The scan just calls her and Artù amici nuovi, “new friends.” Mirta was the Winx’s friend but wasn’t a Winx.)
Perhaps the biggest news is the new transformation. Looks like Enchantix wasn’t the end, after all. It’s called Believix, and according to this image, new dolls will be coming out in April in Italy. (I think April is when the season will premiere there.)
What else has been going on in Magix? Well, there’s a new site (or really a remake of the old site) featuring what appears to be an MMO game. It’s only in Italian right now—I’ve haven’t heard if an English language version will be made. There’s also a new Wii game called Dance Dance Revolution Winx Club. The major game review sites don’t seem to know much about it other than when it’s coming out in the UK (March 30, 2009).
Now, when will the states get it in on the new Winx Club action? Who knows? That’s up to 4Kids TV and what they want to do with season 4. There are still plenty of fans here, so I hope they won’t let us down!
